Sometimes I Impress Myself
Sometimes my momness kicks it up a notch and I come up with an activity that rocks! I took some clear contact paper, taped it to some cardboard and sent the kids outside. They both spent over an hour finding stuff to stick onto their pictures. Isabel kept at it off and on for the rest of the day, and as she sees the picture here she's asking to do it again.

Water Days
Spring is in the air. And that means it is time to venture down to the water again. I didn't dare go in the winter because both kids are bit too keen on just wading right into the water. They don't care if it is 20° out. :o)

He is Risen
Happy belated Easter everyone! I think it has been a month since Easter, but we still have lots of plastic eggs floating around our house. I thought I had rounded them all up the day after, but I was sure wrong! We had a fun, quiet Easter weekend, oh and both kids were sick. On Saturday we went to the town Easter Festival and did the egg hunt with the kids. They both made out really well and were happy to have lots of new trinkets to play with. On Sunday I woke up early and went to mass by myself (heavenly), then came home to a house full of crazy. We had a special breakfast, then headed outside to search for the eggs that the Easter bunny left. Both kids were shaking each egg, and if it was hard boiled, throwing it back on the ground. Isabel only wanted the ones with the candy, and Oliver only wanted the noisy ones. :o)

Snow
Before we moved to Maryland I told Isabel she was going to really enjoy the winters because we would surely get a lot more snow than in Texas. All winter she asked when it was going to snow. We had a few flurries that never stuck, but nothing like the big snow she remembered in Texas. Then in late February we had snow all day long. As soon as Isabel woke up she had to run outside and play in it! After Oliver woke up we all got dressed and went out again. Isabel was in heaven, Oliver not so much, he isn't a fan of wet feet and hands. It didn't stick around too long, and two days later we were outside playing without our coats.

Nightly Fun
I realize I've been horrible at keeping up with pictures here on our blog ever since Oliver was born. I have no excuse other than I never get on the computer any more. I'm making a resolution to do better though, so we'll see...
There are many, many, many nights when Robert doesn't get home before the kids are in bed. These are long days for me, and I now that the days are getting longer again we have an early dinner, go outside and play in a sand or dirt pile from one of the new houses, then come in for a really long bath. Both kids love the water, and have a great time making a huge mess and I get to sit there and chill until the water gets cold. I'm enjoying it while I can, both of them are starting to get annoyed with each other being in their bathtub space so I'm not sure how much longer it will last.
