Scrabble

Grandpa came for a visit this weekend and taught Isabel a new game. She loves playing Scrabble now! She fills up all of the holders with letters, then puts the tiles on the board, "spelling" words. She is always careful to cover up the triple word scores first.

Fringe benefit of shopping at Costco

Toilet paper and paper towels are wonderful big blocks that make great forts.

Sandbox

Pretty much every day Isabel asks to go play in Ella's sandbox. So finally Mommy and Daddy got it in gear and found one just for her. We like this one because it is a little bigger than the standard turtle sandbox, and it has the all important lid to keep out Sydney the neighborhood cat. Isabel is in love!

More Trip Pictures

Since Isabel didn't go to the wedding we met up with Grandma, Grandaddy, and Aunt Katie at the Conservatory to see the butterfly exhibit. It was beautiful, but quite hot...

We also hung out with Grandpa for a while before he headed back to Cleveland. Isabel showed him her favorite things to do at the park.

Now it is time to get ready for our next trip to Lexington for my sister's wedding. All I have to do is turn my regular old bridesmaid dress into a maternity dress. :o)

Another year older, another year wiser, and a day full of fun.

Time with Grandma

Isabel loved visiting Grandma's house. There were tons of pine cones and puddles to play with outside, plus we went to the park everyday. The highlight of the trip for Isabel was a visit to the Newport Aquarium, which was beautiful (and thankfully not very crowded on Monday morning). We would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Wedding Pictures Continued

I get to see my grandparents three times this summer, what a treat.

We haven't seen Mike and Amy since last August, we can't wait to see Walt again too in July.

Visiting Family

We've just gotten back from a wonderful trip to Cincinnati to visit family. The main reason for the trip was my brother's wedding, which was a lot of fun. Then we decided to stay for a week to visit with Robert's mom (also prompted by the price of airline tickets).

I'll start with the wedding photos since that was the reason for the visit. The wedding was in the late evening, so we left Isabel with Grandma, and Robert and I enjoyed a great afternoon and evening together.

Dennis and Stephanie had all of their photos taken at a beautiful park overlooking the Ohio River and Cincinnati.
First reaction.
Robert's dad came down for the wedding, so he hung out at the park so he could visit with us a little more.
Everyone looked great, and since Robert and Michael were just ushers they didn't have to have lot of pictures taken and we had fun visiting.
