Butterfly Garden

There has been a butterfly exhibit at the Botanical Gardens for a few months. We were finally able to go with Katie, Emily, and Ella. Isabel enjoyed the butterflies for a few minutes, then we had to go outside and run around and climb on the rocks.

Favorite Morning Activity

Isabel's favorite morning activity is to snuggle and read books. On the weekend she and Robert read every book she can think of. She has now recruited Aunt Katie who is visiting us this week for her spring break.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I know I'm a day early, but hey I'm on the computer right now, and there's no guarantees I will be tomorrow.

This weekend we took Isabel to the Stockyards for their St. Patty's day celebration. Her number one favorite thing was the petting zoo, followed closely by watching the cows and horses in the parade. She loves to see and touch all of the animals. She also really enjoyed rolling around in the grass like the animals and eating ice cream, what a treat!

Zoo Time

We went to the zoo with our friends Emily and Ella. We were at the back of the zoo when it closed for the day, so we took the train to the exit. It was possibly the highlight of the trip for the girls.

Spring is in the air

The spring migrations are underway. This is something I never witnessed growing up in Kentucky, but we sure notice it here. The ducks are gone from our duck pond, all that is left are the few dozen that stick around the whole year. We also have flocks of birds that spend a day or two in the area. Two days ago we had hundreds of birds in all of the trees down our street. They were very pretty, I'm not sure what kind they were, but they sure were loud. :o)
