Fancy Nancy

We checked "Fancy Nancy" out of the library yesterday. Since then we've read it approximately 700 times. All day today Isabel has been going around looking for accessories and saying "darling".

Parade

This weekend we went downtown to watch the annual Western Parade. If you've never been to a western parade (I'm pretty sure it is not a major event in most cities) I would recommend it (you may have to come here next year). Basically all of the ranches and all of the organizations brought their horses, carriages, and buggies and marched down main street along with a few bands. Isabel LOVED seeing the horses, she's been talking about how they neigh, and snort, and poop in the street all day.

Gingerbread Babies

A lot of Isabel's gifts from Grandma Urso were related to the Gingerbread Baby book by Jan Brett...books, stuffed animal, puzzle, clothes. So we decided to make some gingerbread with her. She had a great time stirring and helping put sprinkles on the two gingerbread babies we did make. Because the dough was wheat-free, and insanely sticky, she only got two babies and the rest were just cookies, but she enjoyed them just the same.

Painting

Isabel is really enjoying the watercolors that Santa left in her stocking. She loves to paint. Her favorite part is getting paint on her brush and putting it in the water so that it changes colors.

Goodbye Christmas

We took our Christmas tree down this weekend. I was getting tired of picking ornaments up off of the floor, so it was time to go (we are going to leave our nativity up until Christmas is officially over though). Isabel was a great help with putting the ornaments away.
