Evenings with Daddy

I know it is a recurring theme on our blog, but Isabel loves to read. She especially loves when daddy comes home in the evening and reads her some Dr. Seuss.

Planting Flowers Together

Isabel helped me plant flowers today. She was great help until she decided that the dirt was delicious.

Gym Class

Isabel and I go to gym class every Tuesday. Her favorite part is jumping on the air-track and playing with the bubbles.

Isabel gets a clean bill of health

We took Isabel to see the doctor this morning and he said nothing is wrong, her gross motor skills are just a little slow in developing. As for her foot, she just has really flat feet and they should be fine over time. He did take an x-ray of her hips down just to make sure everything was developing normally, and all is well. So we are very excited. We weren't too worried, but there was always a nagging feeling of what if they do find something.

Fun as a Family

Now that the sun is staying out longer, and Isabel is staying up a little later, we love to hang out outside in the evening.

Bye-bye Grandma

Isabel said goodbye to Grandma today. We're sad to see her go, we've had lots of fun with her here.

More Fun with Grandma

After several miserable days it finally quit raining and warmed up today, so Isabel and Grandma spent a lot of time outside looking at flowers, riding her bike, and just hanging out.

My mom has come for a week-long visit, and today she and Isabel cozied up together doing Isabel's favorite activity, reading.

Boxes

Isabel discovered an empty diaper box yesterday that didn't make it into the recycle bin this week. She had a great time playing in it.

Friends

Isabel and her friend Ella love to be outdoors. We love to sit out on our blankets and play (eat) with the grass and leaves. I'm not sure how much longer this peaceful enjoyment of the outdoors will last as the girls get more mobile, I bet by the end of the summer we will be running after both of them the whole time we are out. :o)

Riding the Train

We have had beautiful weather here this week, so Isabel and I went to ride on the miniature railroad with our friends today. It goes along a river and we saw a lot of ducks, turtles, and people playing at the park, Isabel loved every minute!
